2004 ISA WORLD SURFING GAMES - Ecuador
Costa Rica sign Wade Sharp (South Africa) as team coach.
Costa Rica´s Surfing Federation (FTS) has chosen former WQS contender Wade Sharp from South Africa as their official coach for the World Surfing Games this year and other future events. Sharp has vast experience in the WQS circuit from previous years of competition and is now passing on his knowledge to the upcoming Costa Rican team. Other teams...beware!!!
2004 ISA WORLD JUNIOR SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS - Tahiti
ASP's Wade Sharp coaches Costa Rican National Junior Team.
Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships - Tahiti (2 - 14 Dec 2004)
Wade's first coaching assignment abroad was with the National Surfing Federation of Costa Rica at the 2004 ISA World Games. Costa Rica obtained 9th place out of 23 Nations in the 2004 ISA WORLD GAMES - Ecuador and 13th place out of 24 Nations at the 2004 ISA WORLD JUNIOR GAMES - Tahiti.
After this he coordinated an Events Structure (Circuito National de Surf) with the Federation and an Event Format for the 2006 Campeonato Centro-Americano (Costa Rica) in order to further the development of Surfing in Costa Rica and Latin-America.
